General advice on Southampton airport parking
1. To get the cheapest Southampton airport parking you will need to book in advance, which will typically save you between £5 - £15 a week.
2. Always compare off-site and on-site Southampton airport parking. 'Off-site' car parks (rather than 'official' car parks) are normally cheaper, but you should allow a little extra time to get from the car park to the airport terminal, as these car parks are usually further away from the airport.
3. If you are travelling to the airport from further a field, consider staying overnight at a Southampton airport hotel. An overnight stay in a double room at a Southampton airport hotel including 2 weeks car parking 'free' can be cheaper than Southampton airport parking. Visit the Southampton airport hotels page of airport-hotels-guide.co.uk to book cheap airport hotels.
4. * Be aware that you will normally pay for 8 days Southampton airport parking on a 7-day holiday and for 15 days on a 14-day holiday. You are charged for each 24-hour period, or part thereof. Your return flight to the UK normally gets you back later than your outward flight. So if you drop your car off at 6.30 am on a Friday, and pick it up at 10.30 am the next Friday, you pay for 8 days parking. 'Foul' you cry, as do we, but all the airport car parks do this.
